About Ann Randall

Ann is originally from Westchester County, New York, where she enjoyed a successful career as a psychotherapist and faculty member at the Fordham University Graduate School and the Family Institute of Westchester, all the while raising a family and taking art classes near her home and at the Art Students League in New York City.

It was when Ann and her husband, John, moved to Cape Cod ten years ago that she began to paint in earnest, which had always been her lifelong goal. Ann makes all her paintings from direct observation, standing in front of the subject, be it landscape or still life. She credits the Creative Arts Center in Chatham, where she has taken many courses and workshops, as a continuing wellspring of learning. Her work benefits from her passion, her rare sensibility, a warm sense of humor and her keen intelligence.

Ann has exhibited widely on the Cape, and her paintings reside in homes nationally and abroad. She has won many prizes in juried art shows and is an Artist Member of the Cape Cod Art Association.
